A grand day out

Or rather, a pleasant afternoon in North Somerset. It's been a while since I got out to do a decent weekend ride. With riding to work 4 days a week and the running (I inadvertently agreed to enter the Bristol 10k this year) I haven't really felt up to a Saturday or Sunday Ride until now. It was a lovely day, bit overcast but crisp and frosty so the Day one was pulled out of the shed, winter gear put on and off we went. The ride was basically form Pill into Bristol (via riverside path), through Ashton Court and into Long Ashton. Through Long Ashton and up to Barrow Gurney, along the track to Nailsea, across Kenn Moor to Kingston Seymour, through the lanes to Clevedon

Looking south down the Severn estuary towards Weston Super Mare

Clevedon pier looking as splendid as ever

Through Clevedon (past the pier) and up and over the hill and down to Walton in Gordano, up the hill and across Walton bay to Portishead and then back via the lanes to Pill. A nice 40 mile ride on a lovely winters day, now to empty the fridge.
